holding down the fort

Guys? I know the doctors 3 aren't here and the medlab is prepped...but I'm standing by at the medlab just in case.

I think you two should join me, if you aren't in classes. Maybe I'm wrong...but they took both Hank and Maddie. Not a Good Sign.

...I wonder if I should get Moira? just in case we need another doc?

okay. not panicking. not.

I was down there earlier. Will be back.

I believe Dr. MacTaggart added me onto the list in case the equipment needs anything special. Did they leave any kind of notice as to what might be needed? I don't know the first thing about medicine or first aid, but if you need special equipment, just holler.

Trauma I can do. Heading down to prep the autocoagulators and airsplints just in case they're needed.

And there it comes.

Busy. Making sure we can get to three-five times as much of everything as usual without it getting in the way or being compromised if we don't use it.

Haven't stopped praying since the notice they were leaving.

I think so, only I can't feel it right now.

I think Mr. Summers would have said something besides "wounded" if they'd gone in for something involving diseases, at least that they knew of.

Probably high risk of "ordinary" infections what with it being a battle, though, you're right.

Think we'll be looking more at hypothermia than germs, pixie - snuck a look over Moira's shoulder, they're coming in from Northern Canada...

Trauma kits are prepped, defibrillators are set, and the antibiotic dispensers are primed. Everything nonessential's been moved into the other labs, and I've gone ahead and shut those down. Soon as people start getting in, I'll head on out of the way.

Sometimes my timing is so good it's scary.

On my way down now - sorry about the delay, wasn't checking email for a bit.

By the way, hit the server - directory MAGUS\grimoire\optimized\. I know you're on the whole "restricted healing spells" edict, but if these will work - should be able to do stuff a lot more efficiently. Although if I read it correctly, it won't do crap for Mr. al-Rashid. The variables involved with artificial systems don't fit into the spell at all.

Fair warning - you may feel like crap afterwards, I cut out the parts that channel external energy, so you'll be powering this all on your own. But it's more efficent than the old way you were doing it.

Ta, Forge. From what they're telling us, I'm looking at the head injury at least, and those are tricky - I'm going to need all the help I can get. And al-Rashid's on the banned list - magic and cybernetics don't combine, and I'm not to touch him with a spell. I do have a burns ointment that should help tho' - 100% herbal guaranteed non-magical.

And I always feel like crap after extended healing sessions, but thanks for the warning. Just someone be ready to catch me if I pass out? Medlab floor's hard. ;)

You all did brilliantly, team. So very proud of you right now.

Taking a short break for a shower, be back in half an hour or so.
